How do we process, freeze, and pack our fish home?

We have all of the necessary equipment to help you clean, process, and freeze your fish. This includes: Vacuum packer & bags, freezers, and fish boxes to travel home with.

Should we bring any food or drinks?

We recommend that you plan on doing a bit of shopping in Juneau the day before your flight to Gull Cove. It's a good idea to pack some extra snacks of your preference for long days on the boat. Stores in Juneau include Fred Meyer, Safeway, & Costco. We are not licensed to provide alcoholic beverages. We recommend that you confirm weight limits with the seaplane company you will be flying with and purchase beverages in Juneau.

Are there any stores near Gull Cove?

Elfin Cove is located about 35 minutes from Gull Cove and there is a small general store that sells fishing gear, food, and alcoholic beverages. Elfin Cove is a beautiful little fishing village and a great place to visit and purchase souvenirs made by local artists. If this is your first visit to the area, we will give you detailed directions on how to travel safely through South Passage.

Can we visit Glacier Bay National Park?

This is a very common question we hear from our guests! Our boats are not equipped to travel as far as Glacier Bay. The best way to see this breathtaking park is to book a trip on "The Day Boat" in Bartlett Cove, Alaska. We recommend that you plan to do this before your arrival at South Passage Outfitters. We can help with scheduling a water taxi from Bartlett Cove to Gull Cove and give you more details on how to include a visit to Glacier Bay on your trip up north!
